requirements

We care about your cats, and want to ensure their safety—and your peace of mind!—during their boarding stay. For this reason, all cats coming to stay at Hotel Homer must be up-to-date on veterinary care.
As a general guideline, all cats should be seen by a veterinarian once yearly at a minimum. Senior cats and/or cats with medical issues should be seen at least twice yearly. Diabetic cats should have an evaluation within the two months prior to boarding, as this condition is more labile and unpredictable.
Also, cats should be current on rabies vaccinations as required by law. However, we may be able to make exceptions under certain circumstances. Please note that we want to be certain of your cat's health status prior to boarding, and therefore we are unable to coordinate an annual wellness exam here with your cat's boarding stay. We may be able to make certain exceptions under extreme circumstances. Please contact us ahead of time with any questions or requests.
We prefer to have medical records on file for our senior guests (optional for younger cats). Records are required for those cats who are receiving medication or other treatments. If this is not possible for some reason, please contact us to discuss. Please see the cat profile form on our forms page for further information.
Dr. Amy is highly attuned to the needs of cats, and will do everything possible to ensure the comfort and happiness of all of our feline guests. For example, if a cat exhibits signs of shyness or anxiety, we will set up his/her boarding space with additional privacy options and calming pheromones. Also, Dr. Amy is uniquely qualified to administer medications, to provide additional care under special circumstances (if requested), and to advise/take action as needed should an unexpected problem arise. Please see the boarding contract on our forms page for details.
We take great pride in offering four-paw service! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us. We hope to see your kitties at our hotel!

ratesFeline boarding at Hotel Homer is an exceptional value. We provide amenities such as toys, treats, extra food (if/as needed), "leg-stretch time", and of course lots of TLC... all at no additional charge. Complimentary nail trims are available upon advance request, as long as the procedure will not cause undue stress to the cat. We also offer a multi-cat discount, with no compromise on lodging space or the level of care. Finally, any cat who stays for 6 consecutive nights will receive the 7th night FREE!
Through our unique stay it forward program, funds raised via boarding will help to support the sanctuary cats of Nine Lives Cat Center. Check out all of the fabulous felines whom you will be helping! Our general pricing guidelines are as listed. More specialized care and treatments may also be available on a per-case basis. If you have special requests, or need any further information, please contact us, and we will do our best to assist you! |
