At Nine Lives Cat Center, we care about your cats, and we want to ensure their safety—and your peace of mind—during their boarding stay. For this reason, all cats coming to board must be up-to-date on veterinary care. As a general guideline, all cats should be seen by a veterinarian once yearly at a minimum. Senior cats and/or cats with medical issues should be seen at least twice yearly. Diabetic cats should have an evaluation within the two months prior to boarding, as this condition is more labile and unpredictable.
All cats should also be current on vaccinations, including rabies as required by law. However, we are able to make exceptions under certain circumstances. Please contact us to discuss. All cats over the age of 6 months must be spayed or neutered.
We strongly prefer to have medical records on file for our senior guests (optional for younger cats). Records are required for those cats who are receiving medication or other treatments. ratesOur nightly rates are a little higher at Hotel Homer than at other boarding facilities in the area. Here are a few reasons why:
— Dr. Amy personally cares for our feline guests. As a veterinarian, s he is uniquely qualified to administer medications, provide additional care under special circumstances, and advise/act as needed should any problems arise. — Amenities such as toys, treats, extra food (if/as needed), playtime, and lots of TLC (of course!), are provided at no additional charge. We offer a discounted rate for additional cat(s), with no compromise on lodging space or the level of care. And, any cat who stays for 6 consecutive nights will receive the 7th night FREE! — Through our unique stay it forward incentive, funds raised via boarding will help to support the sanctuary cats of Homer's Fund who reside at Nine Lives Cat Center. Check out all of the fabulous felines whom you will be helping!

To start the reservation process, please contact us by e-mail, text, or phone call to inquire about your desired dates. If you call, please leave a voicemail if we are unavailable; remember, we may well be tending to our current feline guests or our resident cats! We will reply to you as soon as possible with information and instructions.
We do not currently have set hours for check-in or check-out. Instead, we will make specific arrangements with you depending on your travel plans and our schedule here. While we cannot be available 24/7, every effort will be made to accommodate your preferences.
